Shawnee

Shawnee is a female Golden Eagle. Hatched at our facility in 2003, she was released with two other Golden Eagles. Unfortunately, a few days later she was found with a wing injury and was returned to the American Eagle Foundation for rehabilitation and release.

Shawnee was deemed non-releasable because of her wing injury; she can’t fly well enough to survive on her own on the wild. She now resides at the American Eagle Foundation and has now been trained for public educational programs, such as the  “Wings of America” bird of prey show at Dollywood entertainment park in Pigeon Forge, TN.
